The Hitachi HU-12A Transmission electron Microsocpe was produced between 1973 and 1974 (possibly longer), and features the use of both a pointed Thermionic Tungsten Filament as well as Automatic Adjustment of the Anode Wehnelt Cup Distance based on Acceleration Voltage.
