Unlike the aforementioned Elmiskop I, the Elmiskop II was a much simpler, and thus much less costly machine. Instead of the Elmiskop I's 5 Electromagnetic lenses, it only Featured 2, namely the Objective and a Projective lense furnished with a pol piece revolver. This revolver allowed the microscope to change magnification in the absence of an intermediate lens, as is featured in almost all microscopes fallowing the [[ÜM100]]. The illumination system consisted merely of a simple triode Electron gun similar in design to that of the Elmiskop I. Much like that of the Elmiskop I, it also featured full adjustments and mechanical beam tilt, however it lacked the Stigmator seen in its bigger brother. | Unlike the aforementioned Elmiskop I, the Elmiskop II was a much simpler, and thus much less costly machine.
